The objects are made to order. Contact me for price and shipping or delivery options. In Amman, you can purchase them directly from Rumman Collective shop. In Bethlehem, they are available at the Wonder Cabinet.
Through my involvement in workshops and close collaborations with artisans over time, my connection with materials kept evolving. They transformed from just a medium to work with to central protagonists in the process of object-making. Every material holds its own distinct characteristics, moods, and essence that breathe life into each object. They actively participate in shaping the objects and enrich the design process, infusing it with a dynamic interplay that elevates the final outcome. For this collection, I long wanted to work with cast metal, the function of the object is secondary here, almost like an excuse to play with this material.
These objects adopt organic shapes, resembling creatures emerging from the sea or out of a video game. Put together, they exude a familial resemblance and evoke a sense of kinship. Their compact size, akin to that of a hand, amplifies their unconventional charm, adding an element of whimsy and playfulness. Their fluid form suggests a frozen movement, hinting at narratives of underwater exploration or virtual adventures.
Metal is often seen as a rigid material. However, contrary to this common perception, it begins as a very hot liquid before it achieves its rigidity, which is poured into a mold, often onto sand, where it cools and solidifies.

CARE FOR YOUR OBJECTS
Gently wash with warm water and mild soap and dry with a soft cloth.
These pieces will tarnish over time because they do not have a finish.
Produced in Amman, these incense holders are the product of close collaboration with local workshops. They've been a canvas for me and the artisans to play with different textures and colors, allowing for several rounds of experimentation.
Each holder is more than just an object, it carries hours of discussions, trials, and pursuit of perfection.
