paltrips.ps was successful in presenting Palestine in a way that defies the systemic image portrayed in traditional media outlets.
The project was successful in gathering many contributors who shared their photos or written texts. The website also featured a series of recommendations for hotels, restaurants, and bars.
In 2014, I ran paltrips.ps (no longer available), an alternative digital guide to Palestine that was launched with the support of the Franco-German Cultural Center in Ramallah. The guide was developed by young journalists and artists and offered insights into many Palestinian cities such as Qalqilia, Ramallah, and Hebron, among others.
paltrips.ps was successful in presenting Palestine in a way that defies the systemic image portrayed in traditional media outlets, in addition to increasing awareness for sustainable tourism. I managed this project single-handedly, from organizing a residency for ten artists and journalists in Palestine, to finding solutions to keep the project growing after the allocated fund ended.
