Spring Sessions was the opportunity to meet and work with many artists from Amman and elsewhere. We formed a community of people who strived for spaces to experiment and create.

Every spring from 2014 to 2019, Spring Sessions organized a three-month residency program in Jordan. Each year, the program revolved around a different theme and brought together approximately twenty young creatives. punctuated by workshops led by established artists, the group collaborated on a series of mini-projects, culminating in a final presentation held at a different venue each year.
Spring Sessions collaborated with numerous designers and artists from Amman to create the residency visuals.
In 2016, I participated in Spring Sessions, a residency and learning program in Amman, Jordan, organized every spring from 2014 to 2019. Following the three-month residency, I joined the team in managing the program and the residency space makan makan makan, and then co-ran two editions.
The last edition of Spring Sessions I took part in was in 2018. wonder, wander was a collective walk for six weeks from the north to the south of Jordan with thirty artists from all around the world. We walked over a changing terrain, reflected on learning and art-making outside of institutional frameworks and in the midst of constant relocation and movement. The group walked along the borders with Palestine, and ended the walking journey in Sinai. A large portfolio of projects emerged from this walk, among which a film festival the following year in the desert of Wadi Rum.

Before Spring Sessions took over, Makan was an active art and residency space. In 2016, it became the primary residency location for Spring Sessions till 2020. We renamed it "makan makan makan" in honor of the original Makan space.
We also hosted other residencies in collaboration with art organizations in the region. Renowned for its distinctive balcony, it holds a special place in the memories of artists and creatives who once gathered there to share ideas and collaborate, even though it is no longer active as an art space.
